Dream Hunter

Birthday commission for ~vampiretarot of her character, Dream. Happy birthday~! According to the ref he "lords it up in your dreams", but I always imagined dream-kings or whatever to be more mystical and spiritual, somewhat. So he's sort of flying/floating, the way you might do in a dream...

Anyway, see that ghostly wolf in the background? That was the original sketch for this piece, before I remembered that he was (technically) a shapeshifter, so I decided to try portraying him as a slender, stylized, and slightly disproportionate kirin (dragon-horse). (Besides, I already drew him as a wolf before, time to try something new!) But I also decided to incorporate the original sketch (it was way too cute) and overall it turned out a lot better than I expected
